1) Weight Capacity and Frame
When riding a motorized transport machine, keep in mind that the more weight it carries, the more energy it will use. This is why you should be cautious of the battery capacity, especially if you weigh more. Most brands, such as Inokim e-scooters, can carry between 220 lb. to 265 lb. Pay attention to the frame size and build quality, as it affects how easy it is to carry your scooter.
2) Battery
The battery is a vital component of an electric scooter and affects many aspects of its performance. Safety concerns are particularly important when it comes to the battery. Fortunately, we use high-quality, safe batteries in our scooters.
3) Ridable range
To determine how far you can ride a scooter on a single charge, it's important to consider the battery capacity (Ah). Generally, a higher battery capacity results in a longer range. The key factor to keep in mind is the maximum range possible with one battery cycle. This typically ranges between 40 minutes to 1 hour. Inokim scooters are well-known for having longer ranges and fast charge times. For more information, refer to the product list and specifications.
4) Braking system
New scooters typically come equipped with electric brake systems that allow for smooth and comfortable stops. Some models may also have a manual brake system located on the rear mudguard which can bring the scooter to a sudden stop. Certain brands may feature classic rear brake systems with either drum or disc brakes that are controlled using a lever on the handlebars, similar to how a standard bicycle operates.
5) Wheels
Wheels are essential components that allow you to ride a scooter by connecting it to the ground. There are two types: inflatable and tubeless wheels. Tubeless wheels are durable and resistant to punctures, however, they need to be replaced once they are worn out. On the contrary, inflatable wheels contain a tube and provide a smoother ride as they adapt to the terrain and absorb shocks caused by uneven surfaces.
It all depends on which brand of e-scooter you’re using, the size of the battery and the amount of charge it has left.
Most electric scooters in the market has a range between 10-15 miles per charge. Anything above 20 miles is considered long range.
Inokim scooters can go from 18 miles per charge (Inokim Light 2 model) and up to 68 miles per charge (Inokim OXO).
The weight of Inokim Light 2 e-scooter is 13.7 Kg.
